Your little one is growing up fast, and they’re bound to be full of curiosity about kindy.  That’s why this year is all about getting ready for big school.  There’ll be a strong focus on growing social skills, and getting out and about in the local community to put theory into practice!  At the core of the Reggio Emilia Approach is its emphasis on building and sustaining healthy relationships.  It’s also the perfect time in a preschoolers life to learn valuable lessons; to share, take turns and follow rules.  In fact, our preschool program is designed to ensure your child experiences a successful transition to big school, a space where learning is stimulating and meaningful.

Project work in our designed spaces opens up new possibilities where children are exposed to a variety of opportunities that encourages self-expression, communication, logical thinking, and problem-solving.  This means your child develops the analytical, writing, and language skills they need to feel confident about kindy.

PASSEROTTO FACILITIES

Our Reggio inspired art space encourages boundless curiosity and artistic expression by the bucket load.  Projects are always child-led – with creative ideas explored and documented and our superstar educators are considered as co-learners/researchers and collaborate with our children, co-workers, and families in the learning process. Our beautiful outdoor area had loads of space to run around and is comprised of the garden/mini orchard spaces, mud kitchen, teepee, sandpit, water pump, performance stage, climbing equipment, and of course, the chicken coop.

Everyone gets involved in sustainable practice – so your little one will learn about protecting the planet and reducing their carbon footprint. They’ll also be busy nurturing the plants we grow in the veggie and herb garden.

Another highlight to their day is our Reggio approach where educators and children get involved in project work and create learning together.   Our preschool rhythm is designed to allow educators to go deeper to develop a deep understanding of children’s natural curiosities, thinking and questions which will provide a unique beginning for life-long learning.

Our boutique centre has been an absolute passion project and has become a truly bespoke brainchild of those behind the scenes. Our centre is fortunate to stand independently, outside of limiting big-corporate parameters. We have had the luxury of building business from scratch, doing things our way, true to our values, and with your child’s best interest at heart.

ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS SPACE

A strong belief about the importance of sustainable practices and looking after our natural environment is a central pillar of our ethos at Mirabelle. We are certain that the future generation hold enormous power and potential to do great things in this this space, if given proper guidance and encouragement with these conscious practices incorporated into everyday life.

Our centre is filled with natural, eco-friendly materials and educational resources, as we’ve made a genuine effort to purchase plastic free and from as many Australian producers and distributors as possible. We reserve food scraps for our compost, worm farm, and happy chooks, and aim to have a minimal impact on our stunning natural environment.

THE GARDENS

Our outdoor haven is comprised a mini orchard of fruit trees and a functional veggie patch. From this space, the littles are able to learn about sustainability and experience first-hand the cyclical nature of tending to a personal, food-producing garden. We regularly incorporate compost from our kitchen and involve the children in planting new seeds, providing TLC to the plant babies, and reaping produce when ripe. While our veggie patch serves as an onsite window into how the farm to fork movement looks in practice, we actually source more substantial harvests for some meals at the centre from a local plot of land planted to mirror what’s being grown at the centre.

CREATIVELY CURATED ENVIRONMENT

Our space has been thoughtfully designed to maximise your child’s creative capability and sense of wonder throughout the day. No detail has been overlooked, as we’ve approached the completely custom fit-out with the intention of harnessing every square metre’s potential for encouraging play and dynamic growth. Each of our educational resources has each been hand selected with love and is composed of natural materials.

ATELIER SPACES

Situated on each of our room’s decks are the “ateliers”, or art studios. These spaces are the heart and soul of Mirabelle’s Reggio Emilia approach to early learning. We encourage every child to express their individual way of seeing the world through the language of art.

You’ll find cupboards bursting with art materials, natural bits and pieces foraged from nature, light projectors, and beyond. Everything your child might need to express intuitive, spontaneous creative experimentation is at their fingertips in these spaces. The littles artwork is displayed with pride on the learning space walls and in Mirabelle’s entrance hall so your child knows their unique creations and ideas are valued. Educators encourage your child to talk through their artistic processes, an activity that plays a crucial role in brain development.

OUR EDUCATORS

Our team of educators are the backbone on which the children’s daily experience hinge. Their passion for guiding children and allowing space for them to explore their powerful potential cannot be taught or measured merely with a certificate. With this in mind, we are slowly and consciously building our team as the right candidates come along. There is something magical about a space that’s safe for a child to truly express themselves and learn from their surroundings, and our educators create and hold this space for your child. Connectedness and interactions between the teacher and child is paramount to the Reggio Emilia approach.

Our educators bring about children's knowledge, rather than simply filling it in, which requires a heightened level of awareness and emotional availability, as well as the skills to be able to listen and learn from and alongside the children and their parents.

MINDFULNESS PROGRAM

Our mindfulness program encourages the children to focus on the present moment, and in doing so, take in the full sensory experience that each moment has to offer. We see mindfulness as a tool to build self awareness, self esteem, and effective emotional regulation. We incorporate regular yoga, meditation and breathing exercises into the days here at Mirabelle.

INDIGENOUS CONNECTIONS

We have formed a special connection with local Indigenous Elder/Artist, Mark Core, a proud Minijumbal man, who’s based in the Tweed Shire with a vision to grow the cultural competence and capacity of our First Nations people.  We are super excited to share that a strong point in our Curriculum “Horizon” will draw on Mark’s rich cultural knowledge of Storytelling and Art.

Mark is an independent artist focusing on landscapes that represent Country.  Inspired by natural materials, shapes and energy his vision absorbs our beautiful mountains, breathtaking rainforests, majestic beaches and its colourful shoreline. His work reminds us of the cultural significance of nature and seasons with a deep spiritual connection to the land.

Mark’s purpose at Mirabelle is to provide Art Workshops in each of our rooms based on the local Bundjalung language. His work will involve the children and educators to create a special meeting place where they will come together in a social context to learn language that represents the artwork and our local community.

Along with the little ones, his intention will stretch to create Storyboards with the curation of a very special Mirabelle Story. We are pleased to share that on an ongoing basis Mark will meet with our Room Leaders and create his extraordinary content to complement their lesson plans. We truly couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate and connect with our First Nations people and authentically engage our children.

EXTRA CURRICULAR

Playball is a new slice of extra curricula we have integrated into our Horizon (curriculum) with ballstar guru, Russell Kennedy, every Monday here in our beautiful gardens at Mirabelle. This unique specialised sports coaching program for our little ones focuses on: Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Hockey, Cricket, Tennis, Netball, and Football

…and it aligns beautifully with The Early Years Learning Framework expanding on our littlie’s growth and wellbeing! These sessions with Russ are designed to not only be a big giant ball of FUN but will build on self-esteem and confidence, and socially it’s such a great way to spend quality time together interacting and building strong connections outdoors amongst nature. Think of all those fundamental skills the littlies will learn too, and there are a myriad of important learning opportunities to build on, such as gross and fine motor skills, spatial skills, finger and hand strength, hand-eye and foot-eye coordination, grasping skills, balance, teamwork, sportsmanship and the list goes on and on.

School readiness is another additional bonus and contribution to the repertoire of the Playball Program; where the children will be presented with opportunities to concentrate, listen, focus and self-regulate.  It’s also an effective way to teach about resilience because children won't always win.

The important life skills of patience, turn-taking, understanding rules and cooperation will not only make Playball fun and challenging, but an extra dose of fresh air to stimulate the immune system will get the little ones moving.  After all, plenty of outdoor time links in beautifully with healthy, strong, and happy children.

We are so privileged to be part of the Bangalow Community, and our belief is that children thrive in environments that embrace what it really means to be part of such a community. We are delighted to bring your family together with others as part of a wider Mirabelle family, and create connection that embraces the beautiful diversity. There are so many variations amongst individual families enrolled with us, and we celebrate the fact that many children are coming from bilingual and multicultural homes. We are proud to utilise as many local suppliers as possible, and are excited about the establishment and nurturing of ongoing relationships with other small businesses within our area. A sense of place for a child is so far beyond a simple physical locality, and we are passionate about this contributing to a deep sentiment of belonging.

THE 100 LANGUAGES OF CHILDREN

The Reggio Emilia philosophy is based on the premise that children have a symbolic 100 Languages and they learn and express themselves in all these forms. We view each child is a capable individual, able to communicate their unique abilities in extraordinary ways.

Children are competent, naturally curious and full of wonder and we encourage each child’s endless potential to be embraced through multiple ways of seeing and being. Loris Malaguzzi, the founder of the Reggio Approach, describes the "infinite ways that children can express, explore, and connect their thoughts, feelings and imaginings."

GINA

Cert III Trainee

Gina loves to be surrounded by children, and with only 6 months of experience working in Early Childhood, you would think Gina has been in the industry for years! Her natural teaching style absorbs children into her orb with her purposeful interactions that are warm, caring, and encouraging. Gina believes children need respectful bonding and encouragement so she is a key contributor in cultivating the positive attitudes and values that children need, to learn and engage effectively in their world. For fun, Gina loves to travel, soaks up the beach as much as she can, and spends quality time connecting with friends catching up over fancy dinners and when not at work, you can find Gina crunching it out at her local Pilates studio. Gina’s hopes and dreams for this year at Mirabelle is that she can lead more child experiences as she grows and stretches in her Traineeship. However, most of all, she wants to build trusted and confident relationships with all the children and their families at Mirabelle.

INGRID

Support Worker

Ingrid comes with a myriad of early childhood experiences of over 6 years of nannying and supporting many children all over the Byron Shire. A natural at heart, she finds early learning extremely rewarding and feels so much joy when caring for little ones. Ingrid believes that supporting children through fun and meaningful interactions rewards her with a deep sense of satisfaction, and she strongly believes in making a positive impact in children’s lives, no matter how small. Ingrid’s teaching philosophy is to expect the unexpected and adapt to change. These human qualities are perfect for working with little humans! For fun, Ingrid's favourite leisurely activity is to celebrate the great outdoors as she enjoys the freedom and scenery when riding her bike on the beach, especially with her bond of a dog in tow! Ingrid’s hopes and dreams at Mirabelle this year is to create special experiences so much so, that when the little ones look back on their time here, their memories will exude joy and happiness.

TIA

Cert III Trainee

For Tia, her teaching experience begins in the heart. Inspired by her mother’s influence of working as an early childhood teacher for 30 years, set Tia on her path to follow her dreams and work with children. Seeing the little ones grow and develop brings her so much purpose and joy. So much so, that Tia feels it a great privilege to be such an important part of the children’s journey. At Mirabelle, Tia plans her days around supporting children to be happy and comfortable and her teaching style communicates love, acceptance, and belonging so that children feel joyful and present in the world. Tia also loves to be in the garden, and if she’s not tending to the gardens at Mirabelle, you can find her deeply satisfied and excited in her own little garden at home growing fresh food or reading a great novel in her hammock! This year Tia’s hopes and dreams at Mirabelle are for the children to feel her room is a special haven away from home, to feel safe and happy to explore, to love, and to learn.

BROOKE

Advanced Diploma - Early Childhood Teacher

Brooke, our baby nurturer, fell in love with early learning a long time ago and worked as an educator for 10 years before having her own little cherubs. Now that her children are all grown up, proud earth Mumma Brooke has found herself back in the industry with her one true love, the babies! Brooke’s deep passion and natural style of teaching are holistic, paying attention to the connectedness of the mind, body, and spirit so that the little ones feel enormously loved and supported. Her integrated and interconnected approaches focus on a broad range of teaching goals creating a fun and safe space that’s inclusive to all. Brooke is deeply passionate about babies developing their imagination and creativity through play, which is why her room is always engaging, welcoming, and playful. At home, Brooke loves to be with her family, smiling with the ones she loves, and for this year, Brooke’s hopes and dreams at Mirabelle are for the little ones to feel a deep sense of belonging and connectedness, to feel confident within themselves, and to soak up the happiness that floats all around them.

MELINA

Diploma - 2IC

With a strong background in education and leadership management, our bright, bubbly Melina brings an eclectic teaching style to Mirabelle. She strongly believes the early years are the most essential developmental years in a person's life and encourages planned play-based learning experiences that allow children to thrive. Melina is a teacher who loves teaching, which teaches children to love learning. She provides opportunities for agency where children’s play becomes more self-directed, allowing the child to explore their world as they work towards their goals. In fact, Melina provides an innovative and refreshing cross-curricular approach to teaching with her Spanish fluent background and knowledge of the Italian language. For fun, Melina loves pottery, surfing, and cooking. She believes books are important for the mind, heart and soul so loves to read and write too. Melina’s hopes and goals for Mirabelle this year are for the children to feel safe and secure to explore their independence and learn about the world around them through sensory play. Her wishes are for the children to have lots of fun, to feel embraced by the warmth of love and affection with lots of cuddles too.

CAIT

Cert III Trainee

Cait has been studying her Cert III for 4 months now and already we can see her evolving into the most passionate and creative teacher! Cait’s enthusiasm reaches beyond just fun; her patience, creativity, and love for early learning show as soon as she walks through our doors. With exceptional enthusiasm, she’s eager to get out on the floor and just be in the present and play with the children. In fact, the reason Cait wanted to work in early learning was so she could relearn how to play. There is a warmth in her play with the littles. A nostalgia, that’s wholesome and fun. Cait believes children deserve to have their sense of wonder and curiosity nurtured so she encourages play through their interests. Her goal as a new teacher going forward is to be present and compassionate whilst setting healthy boundaries for the little ones. She wants to contribute to a learning environment that encourages growth and creativity. Outside of Mirabelle, for fun, Cait loves hiking, swimming, permaculture, festivals, and anything radical outdoors! Cait’s hopes and dreams for this year are for the children to feel supported and seen, and to realise and celebrate their unique differences.

CAITLYN

Early Childhood Teacher

Caitlin, was born and raised in New Zealand, and found her passion for early childhood education when she realised her pedagogy around nature and a holistic education were more important than the Curriculum and meeting the National Quality Standards. Caitlin’s holistic nature-based pedagogy and love for teaching about Indigenous Cultures are what gets her fire pumping! Native to NZ, she grew up philosophising over the Te Ao Maori philosophy, a beautiful ideology supporting Wairua (spirit) and encouraging ‘self-worth’ in children. Her strong beliefs have led her down an integrated path to ensure children feel safe and settled in care. Mother, to a little treasure called Arthur, Caitlin likes to treat children how her little boy would like to be treated! For fun, Caitlin loves outdoorsy activities such as nature walks and visits to the beach. She enjoys good food, loves pottering around her humble home with family, and takes great pleasure in observing her warm and dreamy world in a different way through photography. Caitlin’s hopes and dreams for this year are more than just the tooth fairy; she wishes to create magic and rituals where children feel content and safe within themselves, to create special moments with the little ones so that they tune in and explore a deep connection with each other. She also aspires to embed a love for fun and nature.

TILLY

Studying Cert III

Our dear Tilly is new to the arena of early childhood, and it was during COVID times that her calling in life came to fruition when she was asked to help look after her sweet little nephew. She found this significant time in her life as his full-time babysitter so rewarding and deeply satisfying, and this is where her ambition for teaching children was first initiated. Tilly’s philosophy for teaching embraces the idea that all children are unique with different needs to help them learn and grow. She believes children are little miracles of all ages and stages, and they develop at their own pace. Tilly loves to spread positivity so children stay positive about learning every day. She believes learning should be fun, it’s contagious, and the best medicine! Speaking of fun, in her free time, Tilly loves to listen to a lot of true crime, she absolutely loves board games and the idea that they bring people together, offering a fun way to interact and bond too. Tilly’s hopes and dreams at Mirabelle this year are that the children in her room embrace a love for learning, become confident in themselves, and have fun with her integration of humour into the learning process.

SUIENE MARIA MARQUES DIAS

Chef

Our amazing, passionate, gifted foodie; Chef Sue’s passion for cooking for children arose 19 months ago when she was presented with a fabulous opportunity, unique from her restaurant days as a sous-chef. After stepping into this new environment of early childhood she soon discovered a symbiotic relationship with her love for both food and children, and her passion to cook nutritious and delicious healthy food for the little ones is exercised with joy and love. So much so, that Sue’s enthusiasm is to instil an interest and encourage healthy eating habits so that the littlies grow up to be happy and strong. She wants to create pallets for picky eaters that brighten their days, make them feel like energised bunnies, and stimulate their senses with colour and fun textures. When Sue isn’t whipping up a storm and singing in the kitchen (she loves to sing), you can find her listening to the sweet melodies of music. All kinds of music. Also, a talented musician at heart she believes music is the language of the spirit! Sue’s hopes and dreams for the children at Mirabelle this year are to grow their appetites with a variety of new wholesome tastes to support their growth and development, and she wants to fill the children’s day with love and warm memories around her delish food.

GRACEY

Cert III

Gracey found her way into the early learning sector at a very young age with a drive so strong that she wanted to guide and support children on their learning pathways. She wanted to create an impact by helping little ones become their best selves, form friendships and develop their independence. Gracey loves to see the world through their eyes; all that possibility, positivity and excitement for life. Over the years she’s discovered that her love for watching children grow and evolve has touched on her inner child too. It’s magical. There is so much to gain from teaching little people and Gracey couldn’t imagine doing anything else with her time. Outside of Mirabelle, Gracey loves to spend it with her family over barbecues and conversations. She also loves to go out for dinners with friends and her dog is her best furry friend. Gracey’s hopes and dreams for Mirabelle this year are to learn all the new skills she can in the Preschool Room and to grow and learn with the children.

EMMA

Centre Director/ECT

Our inspirational Centre Director/Teacher, Emma has been educating little ones for over eight years and recently progressed into the role of Centre Director. Emma’s unique blend of educational, leadership, administrative, respectful, supportive, and interpersonal skills allows her to lead a strong team and provide the best outcomes for children and families. Raised in Adelaide, Emma completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Education after finishing high school and has had many rewarding opportunities to work with children. She believes each year is different, with the tremendous honour of positively impacting the curious lives of the little ones. Throughout her career, Emma has loved collaborating with hundreds of individuals, including children, team members, parents, and extended families to bridge home life and school. Emma chose the early childhood industry over primary school because of her desire to teach each child as an individual and take on the challenge of nurturing strengths and gently overcoming their challenges. This year is significant for our aspiring Emma as she progresses in the role of Centre Director. Emma’s wish this year is to spread her love for creating warm and welcoming classroom environments and building strong relationships with families. Emma’s goal is to ensure that Mirabelle provides an exceptional learning experience for each child, tailored to their individual needs and strengths.

LISHA

Early Childhood Teacher

Meet Lisha, a passionate learner who strongly believes in the power of collaborative learning. She believes that each child brings unique values and skills to the table and this collaborative approach is a useful learning tool that supports her philosophy. Lisha’s love for education extends to inspiring the little ones to be the very best version of themselves by nurturing their connection with the world and empowering their thoughts and ideas. She wants to positively impact our future generations by shaping young minds to develop a strong sense of connection to nature and sustainability and deeply values the child’s voice. Lisha is a firm believer that children learn best through play, exploration and discovery and that their voices should be heard in decision-making and planning. For fun, Lisha loves to work out at the gym, cooks delicious food, reads, enjoys dinners out with close friends and weekend adventures are her go-to! For this year, Lisha’s hopes and dreams for Mirabelle are that the children will enhance their social skills, explore their emotions, and develop autonomy and decision-making abilities through creative play that has no limits! She envisions a world where young minds are influenced into confident and independent thinkers who can positively impact the world.

LUCHI

Early Childhood Teacher

Luchi’s been working in the childcare industry for a long time since she was still in High School in beautiful Argentina. Her passion for working with children stemmed from a desire to be a gym instructor, but it wasn’t until she became an Aunt at 16 that she discovered her true calling. Since then, Luchi has enjoyed watching children grow and flourish. She believes children need a nourishing and stimulating environment with opportunities to feel safe to explore, learn and develop at their own pace. Her core teaching practice understands that their needs and interests are unique so she ensures they receive a personalised supportive and guidance routine. Luchi aims to create a positive environment for children’s growth and development of multiple intelligences. For fun, Luchi enjoys snowboarding and horse riding. She’s also an avid soccer player (following Argentina) and plays in our local club at Suffolk. Engaging in these activities helps her to recharge and bring a fresh perspective to her work with children. Early Childhood Teacher

Meet Aisling, our wonderful and caring newest addition to Team Mirabelle! Her journey into Early Education was a natural progression driven by a deep love for children and a sweet spot for child development. Aisling’s passion for nurturing a love for learning and providing the right support that children and families need excites her as they strive to reach their full potential. At the heart of Aisling’s teaching philosophy lies a belief in collaboration and engaging the children in the co-creation of knowledge and ideas. She possesses a natural ability to nurture their curiosity and imagination, encouraging children to explore the world around them, develop their own theories, and build connections with others. At the core of Aisling’s mission is a desire to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for everyone where children grow into confident, capable individuals who are actively engaging in their community. Outside of work, you will find Aisling either playing in nature, swimming in waterfalls or sitting under a tree journaling, dancing, playing music and creating art! Aisling’s hopes for Mirabelle this year are to create a classroom environment where the children feel as snug as a bug in a rug, forging strong and unshakable connections with their peers and teachers. She wants them to be as self-assured as lions, and as soaring as eagles in the own unique talents and abilities!

BRIANNA

Diploma

Bri has always adored children, so it was a no-brainer to pursue a career in early learning and follow her deepest passion. Bri’s beautiful teaching style reflects a holistic approach to teaching and learning, where she pays her full attention to the nourishment and connectedness of the mind, body and spirit. I instilling this harmony is her passion and purpose. Bri’s also committed to nurturing strong connections with children and families, placing it at the fore front of her work. Through these meaningful relationships she fosters a sense of belonging for the children and cultivates a safe and secure environment where both children and families feel comfortable seeking support from her. She’s also a big believer in the power of childhood play and is dedicated to encouraging and empowering children to make choices, explore, problem solve and un-leash their imagination! Outside of work Bri loves to spend her days outdoors in nature exploring lush waterfalls and beaches absorbing joy and happiness. Bri finds joy in socialising with close friends and cherished family members. She also dedicates time to nurturing her creative pursuits, allowing her passion to flourish! Bri’s hopes for Mirabelle this year are for her children to thrive on their learning journey where strong friendships form and memories last for a lifetime. She’s looking forward to discovering what the little ones in her classroom love to do. Most of all she’s excited for the children to bask in the joy and fun early childhood evokes and to feel the real magic of childhood dreams!

TANYA

Early Childhood Teacher

Tanya loves working with young children and watching them learn and grow, it’s one of the most rewarding experiences, especially in the magic years of early childhood! She believes children need a safe and secure place with nurturing educators to develop, grow and flourish and her holistic approach to everyday learning reflects her beliefs. Tayna is dedicated to nurturing the whole child, focusing on their social-emotional, physical and cognitive development and their connections to the natural world. She encourages children to be aware of their environment and to build relationships with the world around them. Finding and embedding daily rituals of self-care is important to her, the simple everyday tasks so the little ones are ready to participate in life. Her teaching style embraces opportunities to slow down, be present and connect and when Tayna isn’t cherishing these precious moments in children’s lives you can find her hanging upside down or flying through the air at Circus Arts! Tanya is all about community and fun. She’s a teacher, and circus performer extraordinaire! Rocking climbing, nature exploring, beach walks and family fun times keep her floating on cloud 9 too! Tanya’s mission for this year is to empower the children to cultivate self-confidence and embrace new challenges. She aims to foster kindness towards themselves, others, and the planet while creating unforgettable, cherished memories for every child at Mirabelle!

AUDREY

Enrolment Support and Special Projects/Events

Audrey has an entrepreneurial spirit and absolutely loves being part of the furniture at Mirabelle. She originally came on board in a project management style, after serendipitously swapping ideas for the build with one of the Co-Founders on a ski lift in Japan and has been along for the journey ever since. Audrey’s background in business ownership, event coordination, business development, hospitality management, and not for profit work all shine through in her roles as Enrolment Support and Special Projects/Events here at Mirabelle. Our ambitious Audrey thrives in spaces where she's able to lead with positivity, create and bolster a sense of community and belonging. and bring to life events that allow the opportunity for people to gather as a tribe. She's also an avid Pilates practitioner and co-owns the STRONG studio in Byron Bay. Audrey absolutely loves being active outdoors, traveling, live music, any excuse to dress up in costume, beautiful meals shared with loved ones, and a good boogie. Audrey's biggest hope for Mirabelle this year is that it continues to provide a warm and safe space in which families feel that they're connected to something greater than themselves, and that the children heading off to big school, after years in our care, have a strong foundation created from being genuinely loved, supported, seen and celebrated for who they are, and nurtured in every way possible.

EMMA

Centre Director/Early Childhood Teacher

Our inspirational Centre Director/Teacher, Emma has been educating little ones for over eight years and recently progressed into the role of Centre Director. Emma’s unique blend of educational, leadership, administrative, respectful, supportive, and interpersonal skills allows her to lead a strong team and provide the best outcomes for children and families. Raised in Adelaide, Emma completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Education after finishing high school and has had many rewarding opportunities to work with children. She believes each year is different, with the tremendous honour of positively impacting the curious lives of the little ones. Throughout her career, Emma has loved collaborating with hundreds of individuals, including children, team members, parents, and extended families to bridge home life and school. Emma chose the early childhood industry over primary school because of her desire to teach each child as an individual and take on the challenge of nurturing strengths and gently overcoming their challenges. This year is significant for our aspiring Emma as she progresses in the role of Centre Director. Emma’s wish this year is to spread her love for creating warm and welcoming classroom environments and building strong relationships with families. Emma’s goal is to ensure that Mirabelle provides an exceptional learning experience for each child, tailored to their individual needs and strengths.

MIRABELLE SPRING FAIR

At Mirabelle, fostering strong connections with our children, families, and the community is a treasured and vital part of our ethos. As a token of our appreciation for being part of our Mirabelle family, we delight in giving back the love by proudly hosting the Annual Mirabelle Spring Fair each year. This joyous celebration takes place on the scenic property of our approved provider in the lush hinterland of Binna Burra. Fairs hold a special place in our hearts, particularly for the little ones. Overflowing with fun, they provide a space where dreams come to life, featuring jumping castles, kids' rides, face painting, traditional egg and spoon races, and potato sack races that ignite young imaginations. Additionally, a bubble performer captivates the children, filling them with joy as they eagerly chase the gigantic bubbles, hoping to catch one!

The excitement leading up to our annual Mirabelle Spring Fair is truly palpable. The emergence of Spring, the wonderland of fun and excitement, and the energy it creates with our little ones, family and local businesses all make up this super special day of the year.
We strongly support our local businesses and involve them in every possible way! We have gourmet food trucks, fun rides, local treats, cheeses, meats and drinks, musicians, bubble ladies, and face painters, all of which play a vital role in fostering strong bonds and building our community. To preserve this sense of community our beautiful local farm is home to goats, cows, dogs, ducks and chickens. This allows the little ones' imaginations to take flight as the land fills with the echoes of giggles across generations.

At the heart of Mirabelle lies the intertwining relationships among children, families, and the community so this shared experience of belonging to our community stands as a testament to our sense of togetherness with local pride.
